Your Next iPhone 18 Pro Max Could Cost Over Rs. 1 Million in Pakistan

Buying a top iPhone in Pakistan always costs more than the US price. But new reports about Apple’s 2026 phones show the difference is about to get even bigger. PTA tax alone could add hundreds of thousands of rupees to the price. The most expensive model could even cross Rs. 1.15 million.

Three phones are part of this story: the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Apple’s rumored first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. All three are expected to come in storage sizes from 256GB up to 2TB. At every size, there’s a big gap between the price before tax and the price after PTA tax.

Why PTA Tax Adds So Much

PTA tax is not a fixed amount. It grows more as the phone price goes up. This means the most expensive phones see the biggest jump in price.

For example, the 2TB iPhone Duo could cost around Rs. 887,000 before tax. After PTA tax, that price could jump by about Rs. 267,000 — reaching close to Rs. 1.154 million. The 2TB iPhone 18 Pro Max shows a similar jump, going from about Rs. 693,000 before tax to around Rs. 912,000 after tax.

In both cases, PTA tax adds almost a quarter to the total price.

iPhone 18 Pro: Starting Price

The iPhone 18 Pro is the cheaper option in this lineup. The base 256GB model is expected to cost $1,199 in the US. In Pakistan, that’s around Rs. 333,000 before tax, and about Rs. 461,000 after PTA tax.

Bigger storage costs more. The 512GB model may cost close to Rs. 388,000 before tax and Rs. 530,000 after tax (US price: $1,399). The 1TB model could be priced around Rs. 499,000 before tax and Rs. 669,000 after tax (US price: $1,799).

The top model, with 2TB storage, may cost close to Rs. 665,000 before tax. After PTA tax, that goes up to about Rs. 877,000 (US price: $2,399).

iPhone 18 Pro Max: A Bit More Expensive

The Pro Max costs more than the regular Pro at every storage size. The base 256GB model may start at $1,299 in the US. In Pakistan, that’s close to Rs. 360,000 before tax and Rs. 495,000 after tax.

The 512GB model could cost around Rs. 416,000 before tax and Rs. 565,000 after tax (US price: $1,499). The 1TB model may be priced near Rs. 527,000 before tax and Rs. 703,000 after tax (US price: $1,899).

The biggest model, 2TB, could cost about Rs. 693,000 before tax. After PTA tax, that becomes close to Rs. 912,000 (US price: $2,499).

iPhone Duo: The Most Expensive Option

If Apple really launches a foldable iPhone this year, the Duo will likely be the most expensive phone in the lineup. Every storage size costs more than the Pro and Pro Max.

The base 256GB Duo may cost around Rs. 554,000 before tax and Rs. 738,000 after tax (US price: $1,999). The 512GB version could be priced near Rs. 610,000 before tax and Rs. 808,000 after tax (US price: $2,199).

The 1TB model may cost close to Rs. 721,000 before tax and Rs. 946,000 after tax (US price: $2,599). And the top model, 2TB, is where prices reach their highest point — about Rs. 887,000 before tax, and around Rs. 1.154 million after PTA tax.

These are not final prices. They are estimates based on current PTA tax rules and expected US prices for phones that haven’t launched yet. The real prices from Apple, and the final PTA tax amount, could be different once the phones are officially released.
